Idioms

Here is a list to learn for PSLE English Language. The idea for using idioms is to use it sparingly but effectively. Idioms are like spices, ingredients used within context shall add flavour to their composition. If overused, it will just be too overbearing and overcomes the main storyline.

Vocabulary

Here we shall try to include descriptive words to enhance their essay writing. It is important to insert words to paint their picture in high definition. The list below can be used to describe how characters behave when looking at another person, scene or action.

For example, instead of writing: “Jack looked around to see if the there was any police that saw his crime,” we can enhance it to: “Jack peered around nervously, fretful that the police might have seen his misdeed.”
