Civilisation OS Sensor Directory

Civilisation OS Sensor Directory is the instrument panel for Civilisation OS.

Civilisation OS is not a set of opinions.
Civilisation OS is a protocol for diagnosing:

  • stability
  • drift
  • fracture
  • repair capacity
  • trajectory over time

This directory exists so Civilisation OS can be executed without narrative drift.

What a Civilisation Sensor Is

A civilisation sensor is a strict page with four functions:

  1. What it measures (one variable only)
  2. How to read it (what counts as improvement vs illusion)
  3. Thresholds (stable / drifting / danger)
  4. Repair actions (what stabilises it)

If a page does not do these four things, it is not a civilisation sensor.

The Civilisation Runtime Loop (What Sensors Feed)

Civilisation OS runs on the closed loop:

Mind → Education → Governance → Production → Constraint → CDI → Repair → Repeat

Civilisation sensors measure:

  • the constraint field
  • the CDI pressure
  • the coordination cost
  • the drift between narrative and reality
  • the repair rate

Core Civilisation Sensors (To Publish)

1) Constraint Load Sensor

Slug: civilisation-sensor-constraint
https://edukatesg.com/civilisation-sensor-constraint/

Measures the hard load rising against the system:
demographics, fiscal ceilings, energy limits, resource limits, ecological limits.

2) CDI Index (Collapse–Decay–Instability)

Slug: civilisation-sensor-cdi
https://edukatesg.com/civilisation-sensor-cdi/

Measures the pressure field of decay:
maintenance burden, institutional corrosion, instability signals, fracture risk.

3) Coordination Cost Sensor

Slug: civilisation-sensor-coordination
https://edukatesg.com/civilisation-sensor-coordination/

Measures the friction of coordination:
trust costs, complexity costs, compliance costs, bureaucracy drag.

4) Narrative–Reality Drift Sensor

Slug: civilisation-sensor-drift
https://edukatesg.com/civilisation-sensor-drift/

Measures how far the public narrative diverges from measurable reality.
When drift rises, repair becomes impossible because the system cannot see itself.

5) Repair Rate Sensor

Slug: civilisation-sensor-repair
https://edukatesg.com/civilisation-sensor-repair/

Measures how quickly the system fixes what breaks.
Civilisation is stable when repair ≥ decay.

How to Use This Directory (Execution Method)

When diagnosing a society, leader, or event:

  1. Boot dependencies (Planet OS Runtime Kernel)
  2. Select these sensors
  3. Take a reading (qualitative is acceptable initially, but must be evidence-based)
  4. Repeat readings over time
  5. Compute slopes (dy/dt) to see trajectory

The moment you have repeated readings, you can detect:

  • acceleration
  • “points of no return”
  • repair failure propagation
