Top 200 Vocabulary Words for Visiting South Korea | Meanings, Examples and Composition Use

Direct Answer: These 200 words are English vocabulary for describing a journey through South Korea. They are not Korean-language words and they are not an official PSLE list. They are a writing bank designed to help students turn real knowledge about Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan, Jeju, transport, food, heritage, nature and human interaction into precise composition language.

Use this with: Visiting South Korea | Student Knowledge Guide, Composition Writing: A Trip to South Korea, PSLE Composition Practice and the Vocabulary Learning Hub.

Do not memorise all 200 as isolated definitions. Learn each word through four checks: meaning → useful phrase → sentence → choice. Ask what detail makes the word better than a nearby alternative. Then retrieve it later without looking at the list and use it in a fresh sentence.

Composition transfer

Choose vocabulary because the story creates the need for it. A character does not become resourceful because the writer wants an impressive adjective; the character becomes resourceful by finding a workable solution. A coast is not automatically windswept; the sentence should show exposed conditions. A pupil is not necessarily ashamed because they look down; the surrounding event must support guilt or moral regret.
