A student can write correct sentences and still produce a paragraph that does not work.
Every sentence may be grammatical. Vocabulary may be respectable. Punctuation may be accurate. Yet the reader reaches the end and still wonders: What was this paragraph trying to do? 8. Conclusion paragraphs should close a reasoning route
A conclusion is not simply “In conclusion” plus a copy of the introduction.
Its job is to return to the central question after the evidence has changed what can responsibly be said.
A strong conclusion may synthesise the main judgement, qualify it, and show what follows.

The conclusion is earned by the preceding argument.
9. Introductions and body paragraphs solve different problems
An introduction orients the reader to the question, context and line of attack. A body paragraph develops one part of that reasoning.
Students who use the same internal structure for both often produce introductions full of evidence or body paragraphs full of vague scene-setting.

The paragraph is where a sentence stops being an isolated performance and becomes part of a reasoning system.
