Comics & Games Library at Punggol Coast Mall | How to Enter and What to Do on a First Visit

Large public foyer inside Punggol Coast Mall.

The Comics & Games Library is at Punggol Coast Mall, Tower 7, #01-140, 88 Punggol Way. Alight at Punggol Coast MRT (NE18). The National Library Board lists it as a self-service pop-up open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, including public holidays. Check NLB’s current listing before making a special trip.

Prepare your entry method before reaching the gantry. NLB lists a library-compatible ID, an NLB eCard or a QR day pass requested through its website. Use the NLB Mobile app if you plan to borrow eligible items. For a first family visit, give everyone time to choose one thing to browse and decide about a game when you see the space and instructions.

  • Where: Punggol Coast Mall, Tower 7, #01-140.
  • Train: Punggol Coast MRT (NE18).
  • Entry: Have the current NLB entry option ready for each visitor as applicable.
  • Borrowing: Check eligible items in NLB Mobile and follow the venue instructions.

Find the pop-up and prepare for the gantry

From Punggol Coast MRT, follow the signs for the mall and use the directory for Tower 7 and the Level 1 unit. If you are meeting someone who arrives separately, send the full name of the library along with the unit. Punggol Regional Library is at One Punggol, a separate destination near Sam Kee LRT.

Open the NLB listing before departure and use its link for the current day-pass process if you need it. Have access to the email address or phone number you use for that request. If someone is using the NLB eCard, open it in advance so they know where to find it at the entrance.

The pop-up is self-service. If the scanner does not accept the first attempt, check the instructions beside it and the NLB guidance. Move aside if people are waiting, then try the appropriate entry option or use the support channel shown at the venue. Build in a little extra time when several people are entering together.

Choose one comic or game that fits your group

The collection includes comics, graphic novels and game-related reading. Start with something close to a child’s interest, such as a mystery or a funny story. Read the first page together and ask what the pictures tell you before you read the speech bubbles. Let an older child compare the opening of two books and choose which one they want to continue.

For a game, read the setup and player count before opening the components. Check the rules for on-site use and leave time to put the materials away. If the game is unfamiliar or the group has limited time, try a short round of something everyone can follow.

Check whether a specific item can be borrowed before promising to take it home. Use the app for eligible loans and make sure each loan appears in your account before leaving. Follow the library’s instructions for games and other materials whose use may differ from an ordinary book loan.

Give the visit a simple structure

When you only have time for one stop

Go directly to the library. Give each person a few minutes to browse, then regroup and decide what to keep reading. If you need to catch a train or meet someone, save a game for a visit with enough time to play and pack up.

When siblings want different things

Let one child choose a comic while another looks at a game or game-themed title. Ask each to show one thing they found interesting. Agree where the family will regroup before anyone heads to a different part of the room.

When you are pairing the library with a meal

Keep the library as the main stop if you are coming for a specific title. Check the restaurant’s location separately and leave time for the walk back to the station. A mall foyer can be a simpler meeting point for friends joining only for the meal.
