Choose an out-and-back ride

Open NParks’ Punggol Waterway route page and choose the section that suits your group. Start with a turn-back point on the same side of the waterway. This avoids relying on a bridge crossing and gives newer riders a simple return.

Read the signs at bridges and boardwalks

NParks lists restrictions on riding at selected Punggol Waterway Park bridges, including Kelong Bridge, Wave Bridge and Adventure Bridge, and at the boardwalk. Follow posted instructions and dismount where required. If a path is closed or too crowded for the group, turn back or choose a permitted route.

Ride at the group’s pace

On a shared path, slow down around pedestrians, keep space between riders and avoid abrupt stops in the middle of the route. Choose a place to pause where others can pass. Let the least confident rider set the pace and decide together when to turn back.

If you have a timed meal or pickup, agree on the finish time before leaving the mall. A short ride and a stop near the starting point can be easier to manage than trying to cover the full route.

Return to the mall or continue only after checking the map

If you finish at Waterway Point, use the signed parking approach and let any companions know where you will wait. For an extension, check the next path, bridge and return route before continuing. A route on the opposite bank can require a different approach.

If conditions change, follow the current signs and shorten the outing. Check the route again on a later visit before assuming a closed or restricted section has reopened for riding.
