SEAB’s 2026 A-Level examination booklet lists mid-April of the following year as the tentative results-release period for Project Work. It lists a separate tentative period for the main year-end A-Level results. Check your school’s notice for the confirmed date and collection instructions.
SEAB reports Project Work as Pass or Ungraded. MOE describes the assessment as pass/fail. The release date and how an institution uses the result are separate questions.
- Check the examination year on the school notice.
- Confirm the date and route for collecting the Project Work result.
- Read the grade as Pass or Ungraded.
- Check any application deadline with the receiving institution.
Why the result has a separate date
Use the Project Work row of the SEAB booklet when checking the tentative timing. The general A-Level results window refers to a different release. For example, if you completed Project Work in one calendar year, the booklet’s reference to the following year means you should look for a notice in the next calendar year.
Check the latest school instructions rather than planning around a specific April day from the tentative period. If you need the result by a deadline, ask your school when it can provide the official information.

How to read the result
Use the exact label on the result. Pass is the reported passing outcome. Ungraded is the other outcome described by SEAB. Check the explanatory notes for what appears on an examination certificate and use the institution’s instructions if you are asked to submit the result.
The A-Level H3 grade guide explains a different reporting scale. Check the subject name and qualification level before comparing labels.
