It supplies food, shelter, energy, tools, logistics, and maintenance capacity.
Without production reliability, civilisation cannot maintain its envelope.

WHAT production is

Production includes factories, farms, logistics, software services, construction, utilities, and maintenance. It is civilisation’s “thrust.”

WHY it matters

Civilisation requires constant maintenance. If production weakens, repair backlogs grow, systems decay, and safety margins shrink.

HOW production works

Input: workers + tools + energy + coordination + standards + supply chains
Output: usable goods/services delivered reliably

PHASE reliability

Phase 0: shortages and breakdowns; unsafe or unavailable essentials
Phase 1: unstable delivery; frequent disruptions
Phase 2: stable delivery within scope
Phase 3: resilient production under shocks; rapid recovery and redundancy

FAILURE physics
