If you know many vocabulary words but your writing still sounds simple, the missing layer may be control rather than quantity. Mature writing depends on retrieving the right word at the right moment, combining words naturally, varying sentence structure, and choosing language that fits the exact meaning rather than inserting difficult words for appearance.
Work with fewer words more deeply. Learn their common partners, contrasts, tone, and grammatical patterns; then use them repeatedly in different sentences and paragraphs. At the same time, practise building clearer relationships between ideas—cause, contrast, qualification, evidence, consequence—because sophisticated vocabulary cannot compensate for flat thinking or weak structure.
