My Child Is Doing Well but Seems Exhausted — What Should We Change?

If your child is doing well but seems persistently exhausted, the results should not be used to dismiss the exhaustion. High performance can coexist with an unsustainable system for a while. The important question is whether the child can maintain learning, sleep, recovery, and ordinary life without requiring steadily more effort to hold the same standard.

Review the schedule by value rather than habit. Which classes, practices, and routines are clearly improving capability? Which are duplicating work already mastered? Which can be shortened, combined, or removed without weakening the learning system? Protecting recovery is not lowering standards when the removed load was no longer producing enough return.

Use Is My Child Overloaded With School and Tuition? and How Much Studying Is Enough for a Student? to review the total load.
