If your child is weak in English, first find out which part of English is actually weak. Reading, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, writing, oral language, and examination execution are related, but they are not the same skill. A broad label such as “weak in English” hides the repair route.
Look at recent schoolwork and ask where meaning first breaks. Does the child understand what they read? Know enough words? Build clear sentences? Organise ideas? Answer comprehension questions precisely? Write with control under time pressure? Once the first weak layer is visible, the work becomes much more specific.
