Contact your maternity team immediately for vaginal bleeding, leaking fluid or a reduction or change in your baby’s usual movements. Seek immediate medical assessment for severe abdominal pain, a severe headache or changes in vision. Call 995 for heavy uncontrolled bleeding, collapse, a seizure, chest pain or severe trouble breathing. Use your own hospital’s maternity instructions. At KKH, the Urgent O&G Centre assesses acute early-pregnancy problems before 22 weeks. At 22 weeks or later, KKH directs patients with concerns such as bleeding, water-bag leakage or signs of labour to its Delivery Suite. Other hospitals use their own arrangements.
