A student should ask for help when trying alone stops producing useful progress. Struggle is not automatically a problem; some difficulty is part of learning. The warning sign is repeated confusion without a clearer model, repeated errors without a better diagnosis, or effort that continues while the learner no longer knows what to change.
Ask for help earlier when the weakness is compounding into later topics, when confidence is falling because the task remains opaque, or when an examination is approaching and there is too little time for blind trial and error. Good help should not simply give the answer. It should reduce uncertainty, reveal the weak link, and return more control to the learner.
Use the Diagnostics & Recovery Hub to identify the problem first. If direct teaching is needed, continue through the Tuition & Teaching Hub.
