Mathematics Tutors by Country | School Systems and Learning Diagnostics

Three learners review open books together at a classroom table, with stacks of textbooks, stationery and a whiteboard in the bright room.

Find published guides explaining Mathematics tutor practices in different country education systems: school progression, numeracy, problem solving, examinations and pathways. Tutor fit must be checked against the actual learner’s syllabus, year group and reasoning gaps.

Verified published entries: 46 country guides matched against the 195-country World Tuition reference roster. Only currently published articles are linked. A missing country does not mean tutoring is unavailable there or that its planned guide has already been published.

Browse the World Tuition Master Hub, or use the related World Mathematics Tutor Selection — 195 country guides directory for country-specific tutor-selection questions. Jump to Asia · Africa · Americas · Europe · Oceania.

Bring evidence to the first lesson

Ask the learner to solve a marked problem without hints. Check whether the first mistake concerns arithmetic, interpreting the question, expressing a relationship in algebra or choosing a method. A useful tutor repairs that first weak foundation and tests whether the method transfers to a changed problem.

One worked teaching example

For example, if three notebooks cost 12 units of currency, the unit cost is 4. For five notebooks the total is 20, assuming the price per notebook is unchanged. A tutor should ask why division and multiplication work, rather than reward a memorised answer without a reason.

Four-week tutor review

Week 1: diagnose the first weak link using the learner’s own work. Week 2: teach and practise the prerequisite. Week 3: test an unfamiliar transfer task without prompting. Week 4: compare independent work before deciding to continue or change tutoring. Be cautious about promises of particular grades; check real improvement and learner confidence.

Country-specific checks and safe decisions

School stages, curriculum language and examination names vary within and across countries. Confirm the learner’s exact programme, authority guidance and assessment year. Check tutor qualifications, real contact and safeguarding practices directly with the provider. Country guides do not represent a global eduKate tutoring network.

The original published country article remains the main reference and retains its canonical URL. This directory is a navigation snapshot that should be refreshed as the series expands.

Country-first reading: You can also use the World Tuition Country Navigator to find the other published tutor, school, ministry and curriculum guides for the same country. The parent World Tuition Master Hub leads to the six main subject tutor-selection directories.

Compare country education and tutor series: Country Education and Tutor Crosswalk. Use the navigator for all published articles by country and the crosswalk to compare school and tutoring topics for a country with verified coverage.
