Dairy Farm Quarry is the earth-filled quarry within Dairy Farm Nature Park, not the water-filled Singapore Quarry. NParks highlights its rock cliffs and explicitly distinguishes its landscape from the lakes at other former quarry sites.
Dairy Farm Nature Park’s published hours are 7am–7pm. Use its current map to locate Dairy Farm Quarry and choose the pedestrian approach before travelling. The park also contains biking trails, so a line on the map should be checked for its intended use rather than treated as an interchangeable walking shortcut.
The name can be the first source of confusion. If you are expecting a lake, you may have saved photographs of Singapore Quarry instead. Choose the actual destination first; then you can enjoy the cliffs for what they are rather than searching for water that belongs to another stop.

SECTION 1 OF 5
1. Separate the two quarry destinations
NParks identifies Dairy Farm Quarry as filled with earth and Singapore Quarry as a scenic lake. Both belong to the wider park, but they are different features.
Our Singapore Quarry guide covers the lake destination separately. Its published opening window is also different from the park’s general hours.
Before leaving, compare the landmark name in your map pin with the name in the photograph or article you are using. That quick check can prevent an unnecessary detour.
SECTION 2 OF 5
2. Choose the approach from the current park map
Open the official Dairy Farm Nature Park page and follow its map link. Select a start, the quarry and a return route as one complete plan.
The official visitor information distinguishes Carpark A near Hillview MRT from Carpark B near Wallace Education Centre. Choose your start by the route you intend to walk, not solely by whichever carpark name appears first in a search.
This guide does not promise a fixed walking time or a universally step-free quarry approach. Confirm the specific access if that is essential to your group.
SECTION 3 OF 5
3. Keep the cliffs as a viewing destination
Stay on designated visitor routes and follow onsite barriers and signs. Do not treat an attractive rock face as permission to climb it or leave the trail.
For a photograph, choose a position that keeps the path clear and does not require anyone to cross a barrier. The landscape is worth appreciating without inventing a more dramatic viewpoint.
With children, ask what distinguishes this quarry from a lake-filled one. They can describe visible surfaces and shapes before making guesses about the site’s past.
SECTION 4 OF 5
4. Check the park rules before adding a detour
NParks separates hiking and mountain-biking trails for their intended users. Keep the walk on the designated pedestrian route.
Dairy Farm’s stated wheelchair-access section is Carpark B to Wallace Education Centre only; that should not be read as certification of the whole quarry visit.
Pets are not permitted on Wallace Trail. The park’s limited leashed-pet exception is from Carpark A to Singapore Quarry, not a blanket permission to explore all its trails.
SECTION 5 OF 5
5. Leave the second attraction optional
Our Dairy Farm Nature Park guide introduces the wider choices. Add another attraction only when the distance, opening hours and group’s energy still fit.
Check the current weather and avoid entering forested areas during or immediately after bad weather, as NParks advises.
A clear route and one memorable view can be enough. The best visit is not necessarily the one that combines every landmark with Dairy Farm in its name.
