Places in Bukit Timah | Bukit Timah Community Club Courses and the 2027–2029 Outlook

Three learners review open books together at a classroom table, with stacks of textbooks, stationery and a whiteboard in the bright room.

Did you know? Bukit Timah already has a community club at 20 Toh Yi Drive, while a future integrated community building close to Beauty World MRT is planned for 2029. That means parents, residents and tutors should not confuse a real, functioning club in 2026 with a new complex that is still years away.

The People’s Association currently lists courses, badminton facilities, community interest groups and events at Bukit Timah CC. For the last part of 2026, its programme calendar includes adult language, exercise and table-tennis activities, while the planned integrated development would bring a replacement or new community-club component together with food, sports and eldercare functions.

Bukit Timah Community Club: where and when

  • Current address: Bukit Timah Community Club, 20 Toh Yi Drive, Singapore 596569.
  • Counter services: 10am–6pm according to the official onePA club profile. Check holiday arrangements separately.
  • Telephone: 6466 2912; email PA_BukitTimahCC@pa.gov.sg.
  • Existing facilities: badminton courts, community rooms and spaces for courses and interest groups.
  • Accessibility: onePA identifies wheelchair accessibility and Wi-Fi availability.
  • Current programmes: activities vary by date, eligibility and fees; registration is handled through onePA.
  • 2027: check the club’s ongoing course and event listings; a course advertised for October 2026 is not automatically offered next year.
  • Future community complex: URA’s target is 2029, not 2027, for the integrated development near Beauty World MRT.

What can people do at the existing club?

onePA’s Bukit Timah CC page lists a broad range of classes, interest groups and facilities. Published examples include Zumba Fitness, table tennis, Health Qigong, vocal training, dance and yoga. There are also community groups associated with Toastmasters, emergency response and performing arts.

Those names tell you what kinds of activity the club supports, but they are not a guarantee of class availability on any given day. Each course has its own start date, duration, attendance rules and price. A ‘healthier’ themed class is a recreational or lifestyle programme, not an alternative to individual medical care.

The club’s operating counter can help residents navigate membership, bookings and activity details. For a specific badminton court, treat the booking listing and confirmation as more reliable than a generic claim that the club has courts.

An actual late-2026 language course

A good example of how specific the listings can be is the Conversational English course shown on onePA. It is scheduled for 28 October to 16 December 2026, over eight Wednesday sessions from 10.15am to noon, with an advertised price range of S$90–S$95.

The course description focuses on simple conversational grammar and pronunciation, with opportunities to practise. It is offered at a Bukit Timah CC classroom, not at the future Beauty World integrated development.

The event page also lists a registration closing date. By the time a reader visits this article later in 2026 or in 2027, the course may already be under way or finished. The lesson is to treat the course as a verified example of current programmes, then use a fresh onePA search for upcoming classes.

What about the November 2026 community event?

onePA advertises an O.O.O. – Out Of Office event associated with Bukit Timah CC on 11–14 November 2026, with a venue listing spanning Dunearn Village Shopping Mall and the community club. The event is presented as a social opportunity to make connections and discover new activities.

The timing and programme may vary across the multiple event dates. A listing that shows one combined time range is not sufficient evidence that the event runs continuously at every venue. Check the official event details and registration conditions before leaving home.

For the separate shopping address at 896 Dunearn Road, see our Beauty World interim market and 2027 visitor guide for food-related context; the event itself is managed by onePA, not by a hawker centre.

How do you register for a class or activity?

  • Start at the official Bukit Timah CC listing on onePA.
  • Choose a current course or event; read the start date and venue before paying.
  • Confirm age requirements, activity level, equipment and any prerequisite experience.
  • Check whether the published price is a member rate, standard rate or range.
  • For court bookings, verify a real available slot rather than assuming a facility is free because it exists.
  • Save your booking confirmation and read cancellation or refund terms.
  • If mobility access matters, ask the club about the route from the public footpath to the actual activity room.

The important future project: a new one-stop community building

URA’s Master Plan 2025 describes a new integrated development near Beauty World MRT that will combine the Bukit Timah Community Club with a redeveloped market and hawker centre, an indoor sports hall and eldercare facilities. The official target is 2029.

This is a larger idea than simply moving a classroom. Co-locating social spaces, food, exercise and services can make visits more convenient for households with different needs, especially those who use public transport rather than driving.

But the image of a future building is still a planning depiction. It does not tell you when an individual badminton court opens, which operator will run an eldercare programme or what activities will be scheduled in 2027. Those details need separate announcements as the project advances.

Does this mean the current Toh Yi Drive club is closed?

No. In October 2026, onePA still advertises Bukit Timah CC at 20 Toh Yi Drive, with courses, facilities, contact details and individual events. Planning a future integrated building does not establish that every current service has ended.

There could be future relocations or altered opening arrangements as work progresses, but they must be checked against a dated onePA or People’s Association notice. Do not assume a move has happened merely because a Master Plan says a different building will exist by 2029.

Our Bukit Timah CC counter hours and badminton booking guide is a short reference for the established centre. For the planned new transport and community infrastructure, see Beauty World MRT and future bus hub 2027 article.

Why is 2027 a useful checkpoint?

For current residents, 2027 is the year to keep using operating services and watch for announcements about next year’s courses, programme calendars or the later community-building project. It is not the official completion date of the new integrated complex.

A helpful habit is to separate three kinds of news: a current course running over several weeks, a community club’s physical address and a future building’s construction timetable. Each requires a different source. When a 2027 class is published, its onePA booking details will matter more than a broad 2029 construction target.

A practical community-club planning exercise for families

Ask a child to compare the three time scales: one session of an exercise class, an eight-week learning course and a multi-year community-building project. Which details can be booked now? Which cannot be known until later? This is a practical exercise in reading schedules and understanding how public services grow.

For adults, the same distinction saves time. You can make a present-day booking without waiting for redevelopment, and you can follow the future project without claiming its complete programme exists today.
