Pickleball at ActiveSG Punggol | Indoor vs Sheltered Courts and How to Book

Blue exterior section and logo at ActiveSG Punggol.

For pickleball at ActiveSG Punggol Sport Centre, 11 Sentul Crescent, check the court type before committing to a slot. Sport Singapore lists indoor pickleball among the centre’s facilities. ActiveSG also publishes a separate page for Punggol Sheltered Courts (Pickleball & Tennis) at the same address.

Use MyActiveSG+ to look for a pickleball slot and read the facility name, date and time in full. A listing at the same street address can refer to a different court type. Send the final booking details to your group only after you have confirmed the reservation. For rail travel, Punggol MRT and Sam Kee LRT are useful starting points for Sentul Crescent.

  • Location · ActiveSG Punggol Sport Centre, 11 Sentul Crescent, Singapore 828656.
  • Booking · Sign in to MyActiveSG+, choose pickleball and verify the court type.
  • Sheltered courts · ActiveSG lists 7am to 10pm daily. Check current closures and the available time slots.
  • Arrival · Send the hall or sheltered court, court number when shown, and meeting time.

Indoor or sheltered pickleball at Punggol?

Pick the court based on the conditions your group wants. The indoor facility is listed among the sport centre’s indoor activities. The sheltered listing covers pickleball and tennis. A roof provides cover, and a sheltered facility can still be affected by site conditions or an ActiveSG closure. Check the correct facility before paying or starting the trip.

If you are bringing people who have never visited, the simplest choice is the available court you can describe clearly in the group chat. Send the full facility name from the booking and where the group should wait. If conditions are uncertain and the sheltered court is the only available slot, check the current terms before booking.

How to book in MyActiveSG+

Open MyActiveSG+ and sign in. Look under facility booking for pickleball and narrow the search to Punggol. Compare the indoor and sheltered results if both appear. Before you commit, check the full facility name, date, slot, price and any rules shown for that booking. Your group’s message should come from the confirmation rather than the search result.

  • Check that the activity is pickleball, particularly on a listing that also names tennis.
  • Confirm that the venue is at 11 Sentul Crescent.
  • Read the court type and available times.
  • Check the applicable ballot or booking instructions before confirming.
  • Save the confirmed court details and share the essentials with your group.

A ballot and a confirmed reservation are different stages

MyActiveSG+ supports booking and balloting. If the slot uses a ballot, check the outcome and follow the instructions shown in the platform. Use the account’s booking details to confirm the slot before everyone travels. ActiveSG’s published individual quota lists up to two slots per day per user for pickleball. Check the current rules if you want to arrange more play across a larger group.

What to bring and how to organise a first game

Agree in advance who is bringing paddles and balls, and confirm whether equipment arrangements are available if your group needs them. Follow the venue’s footwear and facility rules. Arrive early enough to find the hall or sheltered court and be ready at your reserved time. Keep drinks and personal belongings in the area indicated by staff or venue signs.

A simple session for four beginners

Start with a few minutes of controlled shots and getting used to the bounce. Then agree on a short game and rotate partners if it helps everyone practise. When players have very different experience, give newcomers time to serve, return and rally. For a first session the goal can be to keep the ball in play and learn the layout. Follow the court rules and finish on time for the next group.

If your group has more people than can play at once, agree on a rotation before the first game. A clear rotation helps everyone know when they will play and reduces interruptions. Let the person with the booking share a finish time and the point at which the group will pack up.

Arrival, weather notices and a fallback

From Punggol MRT, use the pedestrian route towards Sentul Crescent or transfer to Sam Kee LRT. When arranging a ride, use ActiveSG Punggol Sport Centre at 11 Sentul Crescent. The sport centre, One Punggol and SAFRA Punggol are separate destinations. Name the sport centre and court type if other players are arriving independently.

Before leaving, check the venue’s closure notices and your booking in MyActiveSG+. If conditions change, follow the facility’s directions and review the applicable booking terms. One Punggol can be a convenient place to meet for a meal if people are already nearby and the game has to be rearranged. If everyone is still at home, update the group before they make the trip.
