Jewel lists the Rain Vortex’s regular waterfall hours as 10am to 10pm daily. The Light & Music Showcase is normally at 8pm and 9pm from Monday to Thursday, with an extra 10pm show from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays and their eves. Check the current advisory before going, since a private event or maintenance can interrupt the usual schedule.
Choose a daytime visit if you want to see the water and the Forest Valley in daylight. Go in the evening if the light show is the reason for your trip. Pick a viewing level before meeting someone, because the waterfall is visible from several parts of Jewel.
- Waterfall hours and light show times are separate.
- Use the operator’s current advisory for closures and interruptions.
- Pick a floor and a fixed landmark before meeting your group.
- If flying, plan your return to the correct terminal before waiting for a show.

What time should you arrive?
For a daytime outing, check that the waterfall is operating and see which Forest Valley paths are open. For a night visit, choose the specific showcase time. A visit during waterfall hours does not guarantee that a showcase is about to start.
A reasonable plan is to reach Jewel with time to find your floor before the show. If you are combining it with dinner, set a time to leave the restaurant. Having the show time saved makes it easier to decide whether to stay at your table or move to the viewing area.
Jewel sometimes lists event notices affecting Forest Valley or the waterfall. Check the official attraction page and the advisory before travelling, especially on a holiday, during a private event or if you have only one chance to see it.
For Sunday, 8 November 2026, Jewel has posted a private-event advisory. Forest Valley is scheduled to close from 1pm to 7pm, with the waterfall switched off from 1.15pm to 3.30pm and again from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. That notice is specific to the date. Check the current advisory for later visits.
Where to stand for the view you want
For a view that includes the glass roof and the full drop, look for an open position on a public upper level facing the centre. Closer to Forest Valley, you can see the water against the surrounding planting. Use the floor directory and any access signs rather than assuming the same paths are open at every time.

If your group includes someone with a pushchair or mobility aid, pick a viewing point reachable by lift and agree on the level first. If a railing is crowded, move along to another open position instead of waiting in the main walking route.

Make it fit your airport plans
If you are meeting someone who came by MRT and someone who walked from a terminal, give them a named landmark and a floor. ‘By the waterfall’ can describe several different places. For a short visit, choose one viewing area and agree when you will leave it.
If you have a flight, work backward from the airline’s instructions. Allow for the walk back to the terminal and the steps you still need to complete there. If the next showcase does not fit, take the view available at the time and return to the terminal.
