If you lost an old Singapore PSLE or GCE examination certificate, start with the Skills Passport in MySkillsFuture. Use Singpass to retrieve eligible digitised results at no cost. SEAB says it does not issue replacement originals for lost examination certificates or result slips.
If you have no Singpass account or sat the examination using a different identification number, check SEAB’s official request route. For certain early Cambridge examinations, SEAB directs candidates to Cambridge International Education.
- Find the exact exam level and year before logging in.
- Use Skills Passport if you can retrieve the record through Singpass.
- Use SEAB’s request route if the stated conditions apply.
- Keep the downloaded file intact so the recipient can verify it.
Which exam years can I find in MySkillsFuture?
At the time of checking, SEAB lists PSLE results from 1976 through 2025, GCE N(T)- and N(A)-Level results from 1984 through 2025, and GCE O- and A-Level results from 1975 through 2025. Check SEAB’s current table before relying on these cut-offs for a recent or older examination.
Use the year you sat the paper. If you received the result in the following calendar year, use the original examination year when identifying the record. If you sat a qualification in more than one year, identify which sitting the employer or institution needs.
For example, someone looking for a 2007 O-Level result should check the O-Level record for 2007, even if they remember collecting it the following year. A person looking for both that result and an A-Level record should look for two separate qualifications.

How to download and share your digitised results
Sign in to MySkillsFuture with Singpass and look in Skills Passport for your examination results. Check the exam level and year before downloading. SEAB describes two ways to send the document: share it using the available Skills Passport function or download the digital file and send it to the recipient.
Ask the recipient how they would like to receive the results. SEAB says the digital documents can be checked through OpenCerts. Send the original downloaded file so the recipient can verify it. Changing the contents can cause verification to fail.
If someone asks for a screenshot because it is easy to view, ask whether they also require the verifiable file. A screenshot can help communicate what you see. The digital file is the one designed for verification.

If the record is missing or you cannot use Singpass
First check the level and year against the current availability table. If you cannot use Singpass or used a different identification number when you sat the exam, SEAB provides an official request route. It asks for information about the examination and the identification document used for the sitting.
Prepare your name, exam level, exam year and school name. Check the official form for the required identification details and submit those only through the official channel. If you no longer have the document used for the examination, ask SEAB how to proceed.
From 1 January 2027, SEAB says it will charge an administrative fee of S$16 per examination and examination year when it retrieves and provides a digitised copy on request. The eligible self-service retrieval through MySkillsFuture is free under the published guidance. Confirm the current terms if you are submitting a manual request.

If you took a much older Cambridge examination
SEAB directs holders of certain early Cambridge qualifications to Cambridge International Education for a Certifying Statement of Results. Its published list includes O-Level Cambridge School Certificate examinations in 1970 or earlier, A-Level Cambridge Higher School Certificate examinations in 1972 or earlier, and A-Level Cambridge General Certificate of Education examinations in 1973 and 1974.
Find the exact qualification name and year if you still have related documents. Then use the appropriate official contact. If the year falls outside the published self-service range and the qualification is absent from the listed Cambridge categories, ask SEAB which authority holds that record.

Using the result for P1 registration, education or employment
SEAB says parents who misplaced their own PSLE certificates can use a digitised copy of their PSLE results for their child’s Primary 1 registration when a copy is required. Check the current registration instructions for the process and any other evidence.
For an employer or institution, clarify whether it needs a particular sitting or multiple records and which submission channel it uses. Download each required result separately and check the details before sending.
If your record appears wrong, contact the appropriate examination authority. An old-record retrieval request and a review of a newly released GCE grade serve different purposes.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a replacement paper certificate?
SEAB says lost certificates and result slips are not reissued as replacement originals. Eligible past results can be retrieved in digital form.
Will SEAB send the result to my employer?
Its guidance says candidates handle sharing with external parties themselves. Use the receiving organisation’s requested channel.
I need a result from two exam years. What should I check?
Look for both records and confirm which ones the recipient requires. For manual retrieval from 1 January 2027, the stated fee applies by examination and year.
