Can You Borrow a Wheelchair at Waterway Point? | Customer Service and Step-Free Arrival

Interior of Waterway Point shopping mall showing several levels.

Waterway Point lists wheelchair loan among its visitor services. Check availability and the current loan terms with Customer Service at West Wing, Level 2, before relying on a chair for your visit. If you are arriving by train, Punggol MRT/LRT Exit A links to the mall.

Plan how the visitor will reach the counter or where they can wait while someone asks about collection. If you need a chair from the moment you arrive, confirm that arrangement with the mall before travelling. A chair may already be in use.

  • Ask at: Customer Service, West Wing, Level 2.
  • Train: Punggol MRT/LRT (NE17/PTC), Exit A.
  • Before travel: Confirm availability, collection and return terms.
  • Inside the mall: Use the directory for the destination wing, level and lift.

Ask about the loan before the visit

Use the mall’s official contact page if a wheelchair is essential to the trip. Ask whether a chair is available for the time you expect to arrive, where it can be collected, what information is needed and when it must be returned. Check the procedure if the visitor cannot comfortably reach Level 2.

Agree on an indoor waiting point and confirm the collection route before the group separates.

If the chair is only useful for one part of the outing, tell staff what you need. Confirm whether the chair can be taken to the location you plan to visit and who should return it. Arrange another way to get around if availability cannot be confirmed.

Plan the route from your arrival point

For the MRT, use the signed mall connection from Exit A. Inside, use the directory to find a lift serving the destination floor. If arriving by car, ask the mall about the best approach from its current pickup or parking point. Check the full route to the counter as well as the route to your shop or meal.

If your group separates, agree on a visible place to wait clear of doors and lift queues. One person can confirm directions while the visitor stays with the others. Share the wing and level so a relative arriving late knows where to go.

For a time-sensitive appointment, choose the venue as your main destination. Leave time to collect the chair, then allow enough time to return it. If the pickup procedure changes, contact the venue before assuming someone can reach it unaided.

Keep the outing manageable

A short plan can use one lift route, one meal or errand and a known point for the journey home. Check toilets or a place to pause before setting out for another wing. If the group wants to add a waterfront visit, check the outdoor route and current conditions independently.

If you bring your own wheelchair or mobility aid, the same planning helps. Tell anyone meeting you which level you are on and choose a meeting point that can be reached by lift. Ask staff about a suitable route if a lift or entrance is unavailable.
