Why We Test

DEFINITION LOCK
Assessments are Education OS sensors.
They detect mastery, reveal weaknesses, and route repairs before drift becomes failure.
Assessment fails when it measures the wrong thing, becomes gameable, or generates fear without learning.

WHAT assessments do

Measure understanding, speed, accuracy, and application under time constraints.

WHY it matters

Without measurement, learning drift remains invisible.

PHASE reliability

Phase 0: meaningless tests; no signal
