From 2027, the new Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) replaces the N- and O-Level certificates, and G3 Additional Mathematics is listed by SEAB as K341, with reference to 4049. MOE has stated that the change to the SEC does not itself change the examination format.

- Statistics without a clear source. “Success rates”, “retention gains” and score improvements should not be treated as evidence unless the measurement is defined.
- “Small group” without a normal class size. Ask for the actual number.
- More work offered as the solution to every problem. If the cause is not diagnosed, volume can simply rehearse the same error.
So, How Much Should Your Family Spend?
Spend enough to solve the student’s actual problem, but not more simply because a programme is labelled premium. A student who needs weekly explanation and error correction may not need intensive one-to-one tuition. A student with a very specific high-stakes gap may need a different level of support. The correct format depends on the learner.
