How to Use Vocabulary Lists — The Education OS Standard
Vocabulary lists are not for memorising.
They are training datasets used to build stable language capability.
Every list in the Vocabulary Lists Library must be used with the Vocabulary OS Loop.

The Only Approved Loop
Exposure → Retrieval → Sentence Use → Repair → Repeat
If a list is not run through this loop, the list produces noise, not skill.
Step 1 — Exposure
Read the words.
Do not memorise yet.
Your goal is to recognise the words and their meanings.
Step 2 — Retrieval
Close the list.
Recall:
- meanings
- sentence use
- tone
If you cannot retrieve, the word is not learned.
Step 3 — Sentence Use
Write:
- full sentences
- short paragraphs
- exam-style responses
A word that collapses in sentence use is not part of your vocabulary yet.
Step 4 — Repair
Isolate:
- wrong meanings
- wrong collocations
- wrong sentence roles
Patch weak links.
Step 5 — Repeat
Repeat the loop until:
- recall is fast
- usage is accurate
- writing is stable under pressure
Measurement
Use the Vocabulary Gauge to track:
- retrieval stability
- sentence accuracy
- decay over time
