If you cannot finish a PSLE paper in time, do not assume the answer is simply to work faster. Time can be lost because basic knowledge is retrieved too slowly, too much working is done on one difficult question, instructions are reread repeatedly, checking has no structure, or the learner has not practised moving through a full paper under realistic conditions.
Track where the minutes disappear. Mark the point at which the paper first falls behind schedule, then identify what caused it. Practise faster retrieval for routine work, use a clear skip-and-return rule for stuck questions, and rehearse full sections or papers with planned time checkpoints. Speed improves most safely when the underlying process becomes cleaner.
