Botanic Gardens MRT Exits A and B: Lift Access, Food and Garden Arrival Guide

Three learners review open books together at a classroom table, with stacks of textbooks, stationery and a whiteboard in the bright room.

Botanic Gardens MRT makes a garden-and-food outing feel straightforward when you choose the next stop before leaving the station. Start with the garden gate or business address you actually need, then match it to the current exit signs.

SBS Transit’s station directory lists Singapore Botanic Gardens, Cluny Court, Serene Centre and Adam Road Food Centre under both Exits A and B. Its accessibility information identifies the concourse-to-street lift at Exit B.

This guide focuses on arrival and onward planning. For the garden entrance itself, use our Bukit Timah Gate visitor guide.

SECTION 1 OF 5

1. Choose the garden gate, not just the garden name

A large destination needs a precise arrival point. Our recommendation is to save the gate nearest the part of the Gardens you want to visit and review the garden map before travelling.

Do the same for food stops. A station landmark list is useful for orientation, but the final walk still depends on the business entrance and the road crossings on your route.

2. Use Exit B when you need the listed street lift

The operator lists a lift from concourse to street level at Exit B and another between the concourse and platform. Follow current signs and ask staff if you need help finding the connection.

If you are changing trains, check the lift route for the whole transfer as well. Allow time to navigate the station and do not judge an accessible journey only by the nearest escalator.

3. Know where to find facilities

SBS Transit lists bus stops and taxi stands at both exits, with public toilets near Exit B.

Agree on one exit when arranging a meeting. If one person needs the lift, choose a meeting point that works for that route so the group can leave together.

4. Add a food stop that suits the day

For different nearby options, browse our Cluny Court, Serene Centre and Adam Road Food Centre guides.

Our suggestion is to choose one food destination, then check current opening arrangements before leaving. Let the group’s appetite and energy decide whether the meal comes before or after the garden walk.

5. Keep the return journey flexible

If your walk ends far from where it started, look at the garden map and compare the nearest suitable transport point before retracing the entire route.

For an evening outing, check the closing time of each attraction as well as current train times. A garden’s general hours and a particular facility’s hours can differ; plan around the places you intend to enter.
