Cluny Court | Shops, Cafés, Botanic Gardens MRT and Parking Guide

Three secondary students review textbooks and notes together at a classroom table.

Cluny Court is at 501 Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 259760, beside Botanic Gardens MRT and near the Bukit Timah entrance to the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is a useful place to begin a café visit, browse independent shops or combine an errand with a little neighbourhood exploring.

The building’s official directory lists food options including Da Paolo Gastronomia, Plain Vanilla Bakery, Tiong Bahru Bakery and Simply Bread, alongside shops and services. Check the business you intend to visit directly: a directory can help you choose a destination, while an outlet’s own page is the better place to confirm its current hours.

Did you know that the shopping centre describes itself as occupying a historic conservation building? Look at the setting as well as the shop windows. A short visit can be about a coffee, an interesting find and noticing how an older building continues to serve everyday life.

SECTION 1 OF 5

1. Start with one good reason to visit

Choose your main stop before leaving home. A bakery breakfast, a specific purchase and a service appointment need different amounts of time, even when they share the same address.

If you are meeting friends, send the outlet name and unit rather than just “near the Botanic Gardens”. The gardens, station and neighbouring buildings create several plausible meeting points.

Keep the rest of the visit flexible. Browsing is more enjoyable when it is a pleasant extra rather than another deadline.

2. Use Botanic Gardens MRT and check your approach

Cluny Court’s own directions identify Botanic Gardens MRT and place the centre next to Serene Centre, across the road from Adam Road Food Centre.

SBS Transit’s station page lists Cluny Court under both station exits. Its Downtown Line accessibility information identifies a street-level lift at Exit B. Follow current station signs and choose an approach that fits your group.

Allow time for the final pedestrian route, especially with a pram or someone who walks slowly. A map’s short distance does not describe every crossing or entrance.

SECTION 3 OF 5

3. Browse food, shops and services by floor

The directory separates level one and level two. Its listings include food businesses, home and fashion shops, and personal services, so a quick scan can help you avoid wandering in search of the wrong type of stop.

For food, decide whether you want a takeaway or time to sit down. Confirm seating, menus and dietary requirements with the business rather than assuming every bakery offers the same experience.

For a booked service, check the unit and appointment confirmation. The shop directory is an orientation tool; it does not establish an available appointment.

4. Check parking at the entrance

The official location page directs drivers to the basement carpark entrance through Cluny Park Road, beside the French Embassy.

That webpage carries a February 2020 update label. Its published prices should therefore be treated as information to verify, rather than a freshly confirmed 2026 tariff. Read the entrance signage for the current rate, height restriction and payment terms.

If your outing includes a gardens walk, account for the whole stay. A café visit and an extended outdoor walk can create very different parking bills.

5. Build a small, comfortable neighbourhood outing

Choose either a short gardens walk or another food stop after your main visit. Nearby destinations are opportunities, not obligations to complete a circuit.

With children, try a simple observation game: find one building detail and explain what you noticed. It gives the visit a little curiosity without turning lunch into a lesson.

Our Serene Centre guide and Adam Road Food Centre guide cover the neighbouring food choices separately. Cluny Court works well when you give yourself enough time to enjoy the stop you actually came for.
