Get to the Level 4 entrance
Head to Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and follow the signs for Level 4 and the Roof Terrace. City Hall and Esplanade MRT are both listed by the venue. If you have a stroller, look for lift directions in the building and use the designated Level 4 stroller parking area.
Allow a little extra time to get from the concourse to the Roof Terrace if you are arriving before a performance or meeting another family. Tell them the full venue name and the floor. The Esplanade has several entrances and performance spaces.
How free membership and arrival check-in work
Before your outing, set up your Esplanade&Me account and make sure you know which email address you used. At the PLAYbox entrance, scan the QR code and enter that email and the number of people in your group. Count every adult, child and infant.
Aim to arrive early enough to spend time inside before the cleaning break or after the space reopens at 3 pm. The venue page carries changes and closures. If you are combining the visit with a ticketed show, check the show’s own doors and timing separately.

What children can do inside
There is an arts and crafts area, a reading corner featuring books by Singapore writers and illustrators, and space for play. For a simple first visit, choose a story together and let your child look for the PIP character in the wall mural. Festival activities and storytelling can have their own dates.
Keep food and drinks outside and follow the venue’s shoe and stroller instructions. Adults should stay with their children throughout the visit. If the space is closed for cleaning when you arrive, use the break for another part of your Esplanade outing.
