Use Punggol Coast MRT (NE18) for the approach to Coney Island’s West Entrance. From the station, use the current pedestrian route towards Punggol Point Park and Punggol Settlement. At the waterfront, follow the signs for Punggol Point Walk and Coney Island’s West Entrance. NParks’ park guide places the gate about 500 metres along the promenade from the settlement area.
The station and island gate are separate stops. Allow time for the approach, the walk on the island and the return. NParks lists Coney Island Park’s hours as 7 am to 7 pm. For a short first visit, enter at the West Entrance, walk one section and return through the same gate.

Walk from the station towards Punggol Point
At the MRT, use a current map and the signed pedestrian route towards Punggol Point Park. The Punggol Digital District paths and the island entrance serve different destinations. Use Punggol Point Park or Punggol Settlement as an intermediate landmark, then look for the promenade towards the West Entrance.

NParks’ guide describes a walk of about 500 metres along Punggol Point Walk from the settlement area to the West Entrance. This describes the waterfront stretch, so leave additional time for the walk from the MRT. Follow any signed changes to the approach rather than relying on an older map.

Choose a short out-and-back from the West Entrance
At the gate, read the park map and set a turnaround point. A short out-and-back works when you have young children, limited time or a meal planned near the station. Keep the route flexible if the group is tired after the approach.
NParks describes the East and West ends as accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, while some parts of the park have rugged terrain. Check the actual path before going deeper and follow the designated trails. Use the known route back if the next section is unsuitable for your group.
Follow NParks’ wildlife guidance. Keep food and bottles packed away around macaques and give animals space. NParks advises long trousers and covered shoes for insect protection. Check current notices and make sure there is enough daylight and time to return.

Plan the return before adding the East Entrance
The East Entrance is near Lorong Halus Wetland. A through-walk needs a separate plan for transport at that end. If your bags, car or friends are back at Punggol Point, returning to the West Entrance is the simpler choice.
If you are arriving late, consider a promenade visit without going onto the island. Check the park hours and your onward route before crossing the gate. If the island approach is affected by a closure, use the available public waterfront route and save the island for another day.
For a group meetup, specify whether you are waiting at the station, Punggol Point Park or the island gate. If people arrive at different times, use a landmark outside the gate so everyone can choose whether to enter together.
