Does Punggol Coast MRT Have Lifts? | Step-Free Routes at Exits 1 and 2

Exit and station control area inside Punggol Coast MRT station.

Yes. SBS Transit lists lifts at both Exit 1 and Exit 2 of Punggol Coast MRT, as well as a lift between the platform and concourse. Use the platform lift first and choose your exit after checking the destination signs at concourse level.

Exit 2 is listed for Singapore Institute of Technology, Coney Island Park and the station taxi stand. Exit 1 is listed for Sentul Walk, Punggol Way and the Heritage Trail. Both exits serve Punggol Digital District, so confirm the side that suits the specific building or entrance you need.

  • Platform to concourse — Lift available.
  • Street exits — Lifts at both Exit 1 and Exit 2.
  • Taxi stand — Exit 2.
  • Toilets — Concourse, near the Passenger Service Centre.

From the train to the concourse

When you step off the train, follow the lift sign rather than the first escalator. Use the wide fare gate if you need more space for a wheelchair, pram or luggage. If you are travelling together, agree to regroup near the Passenger Service Centre if you take different routes off the platform.

The station name matters if you are meeting someone. Punggol Coast and Punggol are separate North East Line stations. Send the full station name and your exit number before anyone leaves the train.

Choosing between the two lift exits

Use Exit 2 if your directions name the taxi stand, SIT or the Coney Island Park approach. Use Exit 1 if your address points towards Sentul Walk, Punggol Way or the Heritage Trail. If your host only says Punggol Digital District, ask for the building or tower before leaving the concourse.

Once at the surface, check the next segment separately. A lift gets you out of the station. The path beyond may involve a crossing, another lift or a separate entrance to a mall or campus building. The station directory and your venue instructions cover different parts of the trip.

Planning a transfer or pickup

For a taxi pickup, share Exit 2 and the station name rather than just a district pin. SBS Transit also lists a bus stop at Exit 2. The bus and taxi points serve different vehicles, so check the sign before you ask someone to meet you there.

If you need to take a break before continuing, the concourse toilet location is a useful landmark. If a lift is out of service or a route looks unfamiliar, ask station staff about the available lift route before changing levels.

Using the station for the return

Remember the street-level lift location when you leave. On your way back, check the signs for the station instead of assuming every escalator in the surrounding development enters the MRT. At concourse level, follow the lift signs to the platform again.
