King Albert Park MRT has Exits A and B. SBS Transit lists Exit A for Bukit Timah Railway Bridge, Covenant Community Methodist Church and Methodist Girls’ School, and Exit B for Sime Darby Centre. Use those listings to orient yourself, then confirm the exact entrance of your destination.
The lift arrangement matters for a family journey: the operator lists Exit A access between the concourse, street and overhead bridge, plus Exit B access between the street and overhead bridge. A platform-to-concourse lift is also listed. Follow the complete lift route instead of assuming the two exits work identically.
Did you know that King Albert Park station and Bukit Timah Railway Station are different kinds of destinations? One is part of your current train journey; the other is a railway heritage site. Choosing the MRT exit is only one step in planning a visit to the old railway landscape.

SECTION 1 OF 5
1. Choose the exit by destination
Read the exit signs before leaving the station. If your destination is listed, use it as a directional reference; if you have a specific shop, school or appointment, keep the full address available too.
A station listing can retain a landmark name even when a building’s tenants or uses change. Confirm the current destination directly instead of relying on a familiar name from an older visit.
For a meeting, share the exit letter and a precise public point. Avoid leaving a companion to guess whether you mean the concourse, street or bridge.
SECTION 2 OF 5
2. Understand the railway bridge route
The operator names Bukit Timah Railway Bridge under Exit A. Consult the official Rail Corridor information to identify the route and the access point for the particular walk you want.
Seeing a bridge on the exit list does not establish that every connecting path is step-free. If accessibility is essential, check the map and current conditions before making the walk the centre of your outing.
Our Bukit Timah Railway Station guide helps separate the heritage destination from the transport approach. Choose the return point before continuing along the corridor.
SECTION 3 OF 5
3. Make a school journey precise
Methodist Girls’ School is listed as an Exit A destination. For a school visit or appointment, confirm the correct gate, arrival time and visitor procedure with the school.
A nearby MRT station does not tell you which gate is authorised for visitors. It also does not replace the school’s instructions about collection or entry.
For a student learning the journey, practise the actual route together. Let the student explain the exit, crossing and entrance, and identify a safe way to ask for help if the route changes.
SECTION 4 OF 5
4. Follow the lift route through every level
Think of accessibility as a continuous journey: platform, concourse, bridge or street, then the destination. A lift at one stage does not remove every obstacle at the next.
Use the station signs for the available route and ask staff if you are uncertain. If travelling with a pram, allow time for lifts without treating that time as a delay you need to recover by rushing.
The operator also lists a taxi stand at Exit A and concourse toilets near the Passenger Service Centre. These facilities can help you plan a comfortable transfer.
SECTION 5 OF 5
5. Keep the outing focused
A heritage walk, a school appointment and a shopping visit each have different demands. Start with the essential purpose and add another stop only when the route and timing fit.
Check live train information for the return journey. If heading onto the Rail Corridor, NParks advises leaving before dark because the corridor is generally unlit at night.
For food and errands nearer Beauty World, consult our Bukit Timah Plaza guide. Compare the actual approach rather than treating neighbouring MRT stations as interchangeable.
