What you can do for free
Hidhir & the Soulmates play two sets at the Padang Atrium. The Gallery lists Levels B1 and 1 for the performance area. The band’s programme draws from pop, rock, soul and funk. For a short outing, choose one set as your fixed point and spend the remaining time exploring the public areas of the Gallery.
The MILO van is scheduled from 11am to 2pm on Level 1 of the Padang Atrium. The offer is free for all while supplies last. The first music set begins at 1.15pm, so you can aim for both around lunchtime. Arrive earlier for the van if it is important to your group, and have a lunch plan that works even if the complimentary drinks have run out.
What an exhibition ticket unlocks
Between 1pm and 4pm the Singapore Courtyard hosts a caricature station by Jelly Caricature and a drop-in printmaking activity with STPI. Both are reserved for holders of a Special Exhibition or All Access ticket covering Pop after Pop. The printmaking session uses a small everyday object, a tissue case, as the starting point for a design.
The Gallery notes that printmaking space and materials are limited. If you are booking an exhibition slot mainly to join the activity, leave enough time to visit the courtyard early in its window. Timed exhibition entry and the queue for a drop-in activity are two separate things to plan around.
Separate bookings at 2pm
The curatorial roundtable runs from 2pm to 3.30pm in The Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium, City Hall Wing, Level B1. The published prices are S$5 standard and S$2 concession. It focuses on curatorial decisions and the collaboration with the Guggenheim Foundation, so it suits visitors who want to understand why the exhibition brings different artists and regions together.
The S$25 A Mask Like Me workshop runs from 2pm to 4pm at the Keppel Centre for Art Education on Level 1. It is a drop-off activity for children aged seven to 12. Both sessions start at 2pm. If one adult is handling drop-off and attending the talk, allow time to move between the two rooms and check the collection arrangements.
Two ways to plan the visit
For a free visit, choose the 1.15pm set, allow time at the Padang Atrium and add the MILO van if supplies remain. For an exhibition visit, first choose an available entry slot and then check whether it leaves a practical window for Singapore Courtyard. The Gallery asks exhibition visitors to arrive at least 15 minutes before their selected slot and says re-entry to the exhibition is unavailable.
The advertised 10am to 10pm span covers the wider celebration. The named daytime activities finish at different times, so use their individual schedules to plan. Check the official programme again before leaving home for any additions or changes.
