A government fails mechanically when truthful reporting is punished and false reporting is rewarded.
When the system makes truth dangerous, sensors collapse, verification collapses, escalation collapses — and governance becomes blind by design.

This is not “spin.”
It is a lethal control failure:

A system that punishes truth cannot repair itself.

1) Failure Mechanism

Governance depends on honest signal flow:

Reality → Sensors → Reports → Verification → Decision → Repair

Reality suppression breaks the chain by creating a simple incentive:

say the truth → get punished
