Did you know that 2027 SEC G3 Urdu (K362) uses two written papers?
For Urdu revision, try distinguishing finding an answer from explaining it. A learner may recognise the relevant part of a passage yet still need help producing a response that addresses the question.
Looking for the format? Open the paper table. Planning support? Read the family questions. Want a small next step? Try the practice example and the study routine, or browse the complete subject directory.
Checked 10 October 2026. Confirm the registered course and examination year. Practice suggestions are independent learning exercises, not official specimen questions.

Understand and plan
- Which course and materials should we check?
- What are the papers, durations and weights?
- What should parents and students ask first?
Practise and review
Start with the exact registered subject and examination year. Ask the teacher which current materials match the course before buying another preparation book.
A general language resource and an examination-preparation resource can have different jobs. Use our suggested resource test: name the learner’s present difficulty and explain how this material helps address it.
For a child entering Secondary 1 in 2027, follow the current teaching programme and obtain the appropriate graduating-year specification when available. An examination document is not a four-year lesson plan.
| Paper | Duration | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| 1: Composition | 2h | 45% |
| 2: Language usage and comprehension | 1h 30min | 55% |
Read the official syllabus for the complete task instructions. Its combined document contains separate language sections; use the section matching the registered subject.
Our suggested preparation begins with a small work sample. Ask what made it difficult before deciding whether the student needs explanation, guided practice or a timed attempt.
Ask the learner to show how they reached an answer. Did they locate relevant information, connect it to the question and express the connection? Observe the process before choosing extra practice.
Check which current materials the teacher recommends and who will review written work. Support at home can focus on the reasoning without pretending to replace language-specific feedback.
Confirm the approved subject registration and lesson arrangements with the school or provider. Avoid borrowing another family’s administrative assumptions.
Use a short teacher-approved passage and one question. Ask the learner to explain what information the question requires before writing an answer.
Next, identify the relevant part of the passage and say why it matters. If the explanation does not match the question, return to the question rather than collecting more phrases.
Draft a response and ask the teacher to check accuracy and expression. Then try a changed question on the same passage. This is our suggested exercise, not an official comprehension question or answer key.
Keep a small record with three prompts: what was asked, what supported my answer and what I changed after feedback. One well-explained correction can provide a clear next step.
Alternate a short reading response with a small piece of original writing. Ask the teacher whether the same expression difficulty appears in both; use the evidence to choose the next activity.
Later, return to an unfamiliar passage and test whether the learner can repeat the method independently. Reduce prompts gradually instead of removing all support at once.
