Rambai Boardwalk | Beauty World Approach to Rifle Range Nature Park

Families and children using the escalator and stairs at Beauty World MRT station.

Rambai Boardwalk is a 535m elevated route into Rifle Range Nature Park, described by NParks as a convenient entry point near Beauty World MRT. It takes visitors through the treetops and includes interpretation signs about the former Singapore Gun Club and Sin Seng Quarry.

Rifle Range Nature Park’s published hours are 7am–7pm. The boardwalk’s length is not the complete distance from the station, nor a measure of every trail you may add after entering. Check the current park map and plan the whole journey.

An entrance route can be part of the attraction. Take time to notice the changing view and read a sign or two, but keep your next destination clear. You do not need to turn a boardwalk visit into the longest available circuit.

SECTION 1 OF 5

1. Use Beauty World as the starting reference

Our Beauty World MRT guide explains the station exits. Compare the current station map with the park’s directions instead of relying on a fixed walking-time promise.

Save the boardwalk or entrance on the official park map. A park address and a named pedestrian entry are not always the same arrival instruction.

For a group, agree on whether you are meeting at the station or at the park entrance. That avoids people searching for one another along the approach.

2. Decide what happens after the entry

You can make the boardwalk the focus of a short visit, or use it to begin a longer park walk. Choose the next destination before following another trail.

The park’s different routes are not interchangeable. Colugo Trail is a steep climb to a lookout, while the published barrier-free wetland section begins at the Visitor Pavilion.

If someone needs a particular accessible route, verify the approach and continuation rather than treating the word boardwalk as an accessibility guarantee.

3. Read the place through its signs

The official trail description identifies interpretation about the site’s quarry and gun-club past. Use the signs to connect a visible place with a specific piece of information.

With children, try one small question: what does this sign tell us that we could not know just from looking? It helps distinguish observation from historical explanation.

Avoid making unverified claims about a structure or landscape feature simply because it looks old. A careful question is more useful than a confident invented story.

4. Keep the boardwalk comfortable for everyone

Pause to one side where there is room rather than stopping across the route. Be especially aware of visitors approaching from behind while you read or take photographs.

Stay within the signed path and let wildlife remain at a distance. Do not leave the boardwalk to follow an animal or improve a view.

Our birdwatching guide offers simple observation habits if that interests your group. A sighting is a possibility, not an appointment with wildlife.

5. Make the exit part of the plan

If you return the same way, remember that the outward section must be walked again. Add the journey back to the station and any meal stop to your estimate.

Check weather and park notices before leaving home, then remain willing to shorten the visit. An entry route is not a reason to keep walking deeper into a park when conditions deteriorate.

Our Beauty World Centre guide covers a separate food-and-shopping option. Confirm the outlet you choose rather than assuming a meal will be available at any time.

A modest boardwalk outing can be a good first encounter with Rifle Range. Return another day for the climb, wetland or a longer trail when it suits everyone.
