Where to Run Around Marina Bay | A 3.5 km Waterfront Loop from Bayfront MRT

Another view of runners near Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore financial district skyline.

For a short waterfront run, use Marina Bay’s roughly 3.5 km promenade loop. Start near the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza after coming from Bayfront MRT. Head towards ArtScience Museum and the Helix Bridge, then continue towards the Esplanade, Merlion Park and the waterfront on the financial district side.

Use the waterfront route past Collyer Quay and the Promontory to return towards Marina Bay Sands. The distance depends on your start point and any detours. If a bridge or promenade segment is closed for an event, follow the signed route or shorten the run.

  • Distance: around 3.5 km for the full loop.
  • Start: Bayfront MRT, then the Marina Bay Sands waterfront.
  • Waypoints: Helix Bridge, Esplanade, Jubilee Bridge and Merlion Park.
  • Follow the public promenade around the bay and keep clear of queues.

Run from Bayfront towards the Esplanade

Marina Bay Sands lists Bayfront exits C and D for the waterfront promenade. Choose a clear place to start near Event Plaza. Keep the bay on your left as you head towards ArtScience Museum and the Helix Bridge.

Cross the bridge to Marina Centre and follow the waterfront towards the Esplanade. Expect people to pause at viewing points. Slow down when passing or move to a clear stretch before picking up the pace.

Close the loop past Merlion Park

Use Jubilee Bridge to cross towards Merlion Park. Follow the waterfront past One Fullerton towards Collyer Quay, then continue along the promenade on the financial district side.

Stay with the bay edge towards the Promontory and back towards Marina Bay Sands. If you finish where you started, the route forms a loop. Your watch may record a different distance if you begin inside the MRT station or detour around an event.

Choose a shorter route when the waterfront is busy

For a shorter run, go from the Event Plaza towards the Helix Bridge and return along the same stretch. An out-and-back route also works if you want to keep your finish close to the station.

Use wider stretches for passing and slow down around photo spots and venue entrances. Check for temporary closures or event notices before setting out if completing the full loop matters to you.
